How to Create Sub-Statuses
Sub-statuses let you break a main status into smaller steps, giving your team more detail when tracking where work stands. To make these changes, you'll need admin permissions.
Follow these steps to get to your status settings:
- Click your user icon in the top right corner
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
- Click "Subscription" in the left panel
- Click "Company," then "Settings"
You'll now see the full list of statuses. Click the status you want to add sub-statuses to, then type in the sub-status name and save.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Sub-statuses live underneath a main status, so make sure the main status name makes sense before adding them
- You can add multiple sub-statuses to a single status to reflect each step in that part of your workflow
- Sub-statuses will appear as options for your team any time that main status is selected
