Merging SmartCerts

SmartCert lets you merge together PDF files in a SmartCert. 

Merging PDF Files

Once your SmartCert has multiple files, you can combine them into a single PDF.

  1. Using the pencil icon to edit the SmartCert, you can upload additional PDFs to the SmartCert, or follow the steps to merge documents from an existing SmartCert.
  2. Click the Select button in the Files panel.
  3. Choose the PDFs you want to work with and the order you want the certs to be combined.
  4. Pick one of the following actions:
    • Merge and replace: Combines the selected files into a single document.
    • Merge as selected: Combines the selected files while keeping the originals separate.
    • Convert to PDF/A: Lock the PDF to embed fonts, color profiles and update to read-only formatting.

Merged PDFs are automatically bookmarked so you can find each section easily in the document viewer. Simply click to open the document in the document viewer, click the arrow on the bookmark icon located above the document on the far left, and select bookmarks. You can also view page thumbnails to scroll and jump to pages.
