What are Policies?

The Policy System lets you control what internal and external users are allowed to do in SmartCert. This helps make sure all actions follow your company’s rules.

You do this by creating policies, which are rules tied to specific actions. When someone tries to take an action, SmartCert checks the policy. The action is only allowed if all required conditions are met.

Policies are checked before any action is completed. These include system policies, company policies, and policies linked to the user taking the action.
